Resources for Life transitions, anxiety and burnout

At Peak Counseling, we use evidence-based approaches like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help clients better understand their thoughts, manage emotions, and create meaningful change. CBT focuses on identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns, while ACT helps you build psychological flexibility so you can move toward the life you want, even in the presence of stress or anxiety.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Resources

These worksheets can help navigate career changes and life transitions. They can also serve as a general guide in gaining clarity on how you want to move forward and create a meaningful life. The “Your Values,” “Life Compass,” and “The Problems and Values Worksheets” are three that I find to be the most helpful. They are taken from the book The Happiness Trap by Russ Wilson.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Anxiety and Depression

These worksheets are helpful when your thoughts are overwhelming,  and it’s difficult to separate or “dig yourself out” of the spiraling thoughts. These are helpful for depression and anxiety. The worksheets are taken from this article in positivepsychology.com.  I recommend doing the worksheets in the order below.

Self-Compassion and Mindfulness

I highly recommend the book by Dr. Kristen Neff, Self Compassion: The Proven Power of Being Kind to Yourself.

There are also powerful mindfulness exercises on her website, selfcompassion.org.

The Headspace App is a game-changer for a mindfulness practice.

These worksheets are not meant to replace therapy or counseling, but rather help guide your journey to better mental health. I recommend reaching out to a therapist as well for additional support.
